Coronavirus (COVID-19) Resources
From BPA CEO, Steve Skodak:
April 1, 2020 - The Building Performance Association is monitoring the pandemic’s effects on our members and industry. Our hearts go out to everyone impacted by this worldwide emergency. Know that we are here to support you, your business, and our industry.
Since the outbreak, BPA has been engaged with and is monitoring the activities of federal, state, and local government responses. As many of our members know, most energy efficiency programs are shut down as contractors and customers adhere to safety protocols. Virtually all residential efficiency work is suspended by utilities, states, services providers and small businesses.
Government agencies are formulating programs and policies. BPA is very active in advocating for the energy efficiency industry before the U.S. Congress and federal agencies. As federal “stimulus bills” are proposed/enacted, BPA offers input such as proposals and funding ideas.
Similarly, we are engaged in state-level discussions on how best to keep the industry viable while programs and implementation are on hold.
The Building Performance Association is tracking impacts from COVID-19, including any new federal or state economic stimulus bills. We will continue to share summaries of newly enacted provisions as they become available.

Let Us Know - How are You and Your Business Doing?
In an effort to stay on top of how the pandemic is affecting the home and building performance industry, we are asking for our members to send us your stories. Our policy team will get your information directly to your representatives’ and senators’ offices. By telling us your story, we can put faces and names to those in our industry who are being impacted most by the pandemic.
